Why comics?

What seems like years ago now a colleague asked me about some comics on which one of his students was working. I'd never read a comic so I started reading Alan Moore's V for Vendetta and got hooked. When I started drawing I did a couple of illustration courses and then some on comics.

I really enjoy story-telling through images and I am excited to try out different styles and types of stories. The Red Spot Mystery (2025) is a mystery caper involving three lesbian characters. The Lost Girl and the Merrow Child (2024) blends fantasy elements with memories of my time at a school in Ireland.

 

At the moment I'm beginning to plot out another story...
